The Return of Captain Pineapple

Another Semester, another batch of Animation wonders. Yes my friends, he's back in the Hotseat and ready to crack open another can of 3D. Once again you are invited to follow, read and even leave the odd disparaging remark or 2, as I once again delve into the wonderful world of 3DS Max. Another Semester of polygons, splines and swearing at my monitor is in store, so stick around... Captain Pineapple has returned.
This Semester's frolics consist of 2 separate assignments. Essentially, last year's work compressed into around 3 months. Lovely.
The first is perhaps the most interesting: Constructing my face in 3DS Max. For the next 5 weeks I get to stare at my face on a computer screen, resulting in the construction of a 3D rendition of said face. Granted, I will probably become sick of my face by week 2, it still sounds like incredible fun! The new form of spline-modelling also sounds incredibly handy. Can't wait to learn it. I'm going to aim to crack this really early though.
The second I'm more wary of. This one involves a 'live brief', whereby we have to construct a 3D video for 'The Museum of Power' (I like the sound of this more than last year's; who had YMCA). The fact that this is a live brief doesn't concern me. In fact I think it'll push me to make sure this video is top quality; since it will be seen and become available to outside parties! My concern is the fact that we have to work in groups for this. I've never had great experiences in groups... Luckily, I've roped Lee and the Harwood Twins... 2 superb 3D Modellers and a vid/sound techie. Leave me for animation and we have quite the formidable team! So maybe it won't be so bad after all.... Tally ho!
